It is with deep sadness that we report yet another tragic news from the front. On the shield is a graduate of the Faculty of Tourism of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, 23-year-old Andriy Serhiyovych Yuzkiv, who hails from Bolekhiv.
On May 12, 2024, Andriy, who took a military oath of loyalty to the Ukrainian people, courageously fulfilling his military duty, in the battle for Ukraine, its freedom and independence, died in the village of Velyka Gomilsha, Chuguyiv district, Kharkiv region.
Andriy Yuzkiv began his studies in the specialty “Tourism” in 2017.
In 2021, he successfully defended his bachelor’s thesis and entered the Master’s degree in the specialty 242 “Tourism”.
The boy is a graduate of the master’s degree in 2022. He made plans for the future, dreamed of a successful professional life and the development of tourism in Bolehiv district.
The hero stood up for the defense of Ukraine in April 2023. He served in the anti-aircraft artillery platoon of the motorized infantry battalion of the A1008 military unit.
We bow our heads low in sorrow; share the pain of loss together with Andriy’s family. Eternal memory and glory to the Ukrainian soldier who defended his native Ukraine and each of us!
