Today, the rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University Ihor Tsependa met with Director of the State Archive of the Ivano-Frankivsk Region Andriy Smizhak. The dean of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations Ihor Hurak, the head of the document management and office management department, the rector’s representative for digitization Tetyana Kornienko, the assistant professor of the Department of World History Liliya Shcherbin and the deputy director of the State Archive of the Ivano-Frankivsk Region Lyubomir Kharuk took part in the conversation.
The parties discussed and signed a memorandum of cooperation with the aim of implementing joint programs that are closely related to the direction of digitalization of all processes of archival affairs and record keeping, conducting educational tours and practices for students of higher education, organizing and holding joint exhibitions, round tables, seminars, conferences etc.
The university is included in the list of institutions – sources of formation of the National Archival Fund, which transfer documents to the State Archives of the Ivano-Frankivsk Region for permanent storage.
