Round table dedicated to the memory of Volodymyr Grabovetsky

On December 4, 2024, teachers of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations Ihor Raykivskyi, Oleh Yehreshiy, Stepan Kobuta, Andriy Korolko and senior laboratory assistant of the department Ivanna Paliychuk took part in a memorial evening dedicated to honoring the Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Vasylyovych Hrabovetskyi on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of his death, which took place at the Oleksa Dovbush Historical and Memorial Museum (Ivano-Frankivsk, Mazepy St., 1).

The evening of remembrance was attended by the department’s teachers and colleagues and students of V.V. Grabovetsky, the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional organization of the Ukrainian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments Vasyl Tymkiv, writer and local historian Vasyl Babiy, director of the Oleksa Dovbush Historical and Memorial Museum Yuriy Sraychuk, senior researcher Volodymyr Bakala and the keeper of the funds of the same museum Maria Hrytskiv, head of the Ivan Franko room-museum Hanna Parkulab, who recalled the bright and little-known pages of the life, activities and creativity of Volodymyr Grabovetsky, his friends, like-minded colleagues Petro Arsenych, Bohdan Havryliv, Vasyl Burdulanyuk, Mykhailo Pankiv, who are no longer with us.

At the end of the meeting, materials from the All-Ukrainian scientific conference “Fourth Hrabovets Historical Readings” were presented, where mostly works of students of the specialty 014 Secondary Education (History) of the Bachelor’s degree program and postgraduate students of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, as well as local historians and museum workers were published.
