Interactive game “The Smartest” by teachers of the Department of Political Institutions and Processes with the participation of high school students

On December 18, 2024, as part of the “Stefanyk Open Day” project, an informative open class was held at the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations by associate professors of the Department of Political Institutions and Processes Yulia Vasylivna Kobets, Tetyana Bogdanivna Madryga and Olena Borysivna Berezovska-Chmil – an interactive game “The Smartest” for high school students of secondary education institutions. Postgraduate student Yuriy Holovchuk also took an active part in organizing the event. The class was attended by more than 20 participants, including students of Lyceum No. 18 of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council and Lyceum No. 10 of the Kalush City Council.

The leading specialist of the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archaeology of the Carpathians, Bohdan Paska, associate professor of the Department of History of Central and Eastern Europe and Special Branches of Historical Science, Vasyl Debenko, and associate professor of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​and Translation, Yaryna Bytkivska, spoke to potential applicants to the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations, presenting the specialties “Secondary Education (History)”, “History and Archaeology”, and “International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies”, respectively. Yulia Kobets, Tetyana Madryha, and Olena Berezovska-Chmil, in turn, explained in detail the specifics of studying in the specialties “Political Science” and “Political Science. National Security”.

Four teams took part in the competition, which took place in a rather interesting atmosphere. The participants demonstrated theoretical knowledge: they answered questions about the history and modernity of Ukrainian statehood, heroes of the Russian-Ukrainian war, etc. The victory went to the team “Pasichnyanka”, receiving tickets to the “Lumière” cinema as a prize. Such interactive events not only involve students in modern history and socio-political life, they are fascinating, and most importantly – all events are memorable. And this is the best way to become an active member of the society in which you live, to develop the ability to communicate effectively, which are one of the most important factors of success in any area of ​​modern life. The guests of the event were active and left positive feedback about the game.
