Head of the National Agency for Higher Education Andriy Butenko on changes in the higher education quality system

Today, a seminar was held at the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University with the participation of Andriy Butenko, Head of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (NAQAHE). The event was dedicated to the topical topic: “The system of quality assurance in higher education: what has changed for universities?”

“The National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education is a unique center that stands out for its activities in the context of modern challenges facing Ukraine. We are sincerely grateful to Andriy Petrovych for the fact that in a short time he managed to create a powerful team of experts, which includes our employees. Each of us understands that such institutions not only discipline and mobilize, but also provide an opportunity to see ourselves from the outside, critically evaluate our work and implement the ideas that we strive to implement. We are proud that many educational programs of our university have promising and unique development. Such meetings are extremely valuable, because they allow us to exchange experience, receive new ideas and improve the quality of the educational process,” said Ihor Tsependa, Acting Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

In his speech, Andriy Butenko focused on key aspects of quality assurance in higher education and offered a modern vision of this process. He noted that quality is not only compliance with standards, but also primarily the result of fruitful interaction between teachers, students, and the learning environment.

“Quality, although difficult to define, is largely the result of cooperation and harmonious interaction of all participants in the educational process. Quality assurance should guarantee the creation of a learning environment where the content of programs, educational opportunities and resources meet the needs of the modern student and the challenges of the labor market,” emphasized Andriy Butenko.

The participants of the seminar had the opportunity to discuss the challenges faced by universities in the context of the modernization of educational processes, and received valuable advice on the development of internal quality assurance systems that will meet international standards.
