On August 21, 2025, the leading specialist of the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archaeology of the Carpathians Bohdan Paska took part in the next meeting of the expert commission on the civic and historical educational branch of the Ukrainian Institute for the Development of Education. The meeting was chaired by Professor of the Department of History of the Ancient World and the Middle Ages of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Doctor of Historical Sciences Vadym Anatoliyovych Rubel. The secretary was the newly appointed methodologist of the Department of Examination of Educational Literature of the Ukrainian Institute for the Development of Education, Elizaveta Serhiivna Radvanska.
During the meeting, 21 objects of grading were considered, among which model curricula (MCP) in subjects and integrated courses of civic and historical education, as well as interdisciplinary integrated courses of basic and specialized secondary education prevailed. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine recommended most of the objects of grading for the granting of grades. Bohdan Paska presented for consideration by the commission two expert opinions on the model curriculum of the integrated course of history and civic education for grades 7–9 (authors D. Sekyrinsky, N. Vlasova, O. Zheliba, V. Krongauz, I. Shchupak). The first expert opinion concerned the preliminary examination of the MCP, and the second – the examination of the finalized object of grading. The expert’s conclusions were supported and approved by the expert commission. The commission proposed to grant the MCP the grade “Recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine”.
