Igor Tsependa gave a lecture on scientific diplomacy

On July 14, the Acting Rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, Ihor Tsependa, took part in the closing day of the 25th Summer Eastern School of the Department of East European Studies at the University of Warsaw.

At the invitation of the Director of the Department of East European Studies, Jan Malicki, Professor I. Tsependa delivered a closing lecture to students from Central and Eastern Europe on the topic of “Scientific Diplomacy in the Contemporary World” (Dyplomacja naukowa we współczesnym świecie), which took place in the hall of the Tyszkiewicz-Potocki Palace in Warsaw.

After the lecture, a final debate was held on the topic: “35 years in the Region: course, events, consequences” (35-lat w Regionie: przebieg, wydarzenia, skutki), which was also moderated by Ihor Tsependa.

Leading scientists and diplomats attended the discussion from different countries: Director Jan Malitsky, Dr. Aleksandr Zlatanov, Ambassador Bretislav Danchak, Dr. Rustis Kamuntavicius, Dr. Olga Kovalevska, Dr. Roman Baron, Dr. David Kolbaia, Professor Olga Brusylovska, and Director Roman Chmelyk.

After the discussion, a ceremonial awarding of diplomas to the participants of the 25th Summer Oriental School took place.
