Training on preparing projects for European competitions

The Project Management Department, together with the National Contact Point of the Horizon Europe program “Joint Research Center” of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, conducted a training for scientific and pedagogical staff dedicated to writing project applications for participation in European competitions. The event brought together teachers and researchers from various faculties and departments of the university. The event was attended by a leading specialist from the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archaeology of the Carpathians, Bohdan Paska.

The goal of the training was to raise awareness among university staff about the opportunities for participation in European Union programs, provide practical knowledge and tools for preparing competitive project applications, and promote the formation of interdepartmental and interdisciplinary teams for joint development of projects in priority areas of the university’s development.

First Vice-Rector Valentyna Yakubiv addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of the university community’s active participation in international initiatives. The information part of the training covered a wide range of issues, including: strategic priorities of European programs and current challenges, searching for international partners for project implementation, the structure of the Erasmus+ KA2 program, Jean Monnet projects: opportunities for Ukrainian HEIs, the basics of writing project applications and budgeting.

The speakers were: Tetyana Solodzhuk, Head of the Project Management Department, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance and Lyubomyr Nykyruy, Head of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Coordinator of the Horizon Europe – JRC NCP, Nadiya Klykaylo, Leading Specialist of the Project Management Department.

The participants were motivated by the successful experience of implementing the Space Ready project by the team of the Department of Applied Physics and Materials Science, which was told by Professor Volodymyra Boychuk.

In the second part of the training, the participants worked in small groups, discussing their own ideas and forming concepts for joint projects.

This format allowed not only to apply the acquired knowledge, but also to form interdisciplinary working groups.

The event was held in a constructive atmosphere and will become a platform for launching new initiatives aimed at strengthening the participation of Carpathian University in international educational and scientific programs.
