From June 18 to 21, the team of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University took part in the third module of the Professional Development Program for Academic Managers – “Personnel Management”, which was held in Lviv.
The team included:
Ihor Hurak – Dean of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations;
Iryna P’yatnychuk – Dean of the Faculty of Management;
Vitaliy Shkromyda – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics;
Nataliya Belova – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences;
Iryna Stetska – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Philology;
Tetyana Korniyenko – Rector’s Commissioner for Digitalization, Head of the Document Management and Office Management Department;
Tetyana Hrynyshak – Head of the Educational and Scientific Center for Research, Projects and Scientific Information.
The head is the First Vice-Rector Valentyna Yakubiv.
The program, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in collaboration with the British Council in Ukraine, is a strategic initiative to improve the managerial effectiveness of heads of higher education institutions. Its goal is to form modern approaches to managing people in a constantly changing academic environment.
Within the framework of this module, the university team delved into topical HR management topics, including:
development and implementation of a personnel strategy;
talent management and personnel development;
formation of effective teams;
motivation, assessment and feedback;
leadership and organizational culture in the context of change.
Participants had the opportunity to work on real cases, share experience with colleagues from other universities and understand the importance of human capital management as the main resource for the development of a higher education institution.
Our team, which included leading managers of Carpathian University, gained a deeper understanding of the role of human potential in achieving the university’s strategic goals.
Participation in the module “Personnel Management” was another step towards strengthening the leadership positions of Carpathian University and improving internal management processes.
