On March 27, 2025, teachers of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations held an interesting career guidance meeting with students of grades 10–11 of the Tustan and Dubivtsi Lyceums of the Dubivtsi territorial community of Ivano-Frankivsk district. The meeting took place in the modern premises of the Tustan Lyceum library. Teachers Bohdan Paska (leading specialist of the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archaeology of the Carpathians, responsible for career guidance work at the faculty), Olena Berezovska-Chmil (associate professor of the Department of Political Science), Liliya Mykhailyshyn and Iryna Sernyak (respectively, head of the department and associate professor of the Department of International Economic Relations) presented the educational programs “Secondary Education (History and Civics)”, “History and Archaeology”, “Political Science”, “Political Science. National Security”, “International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies”, “International Economic Relations”, “International Business Management”, which will give potential applicants to the University the opportunity to obtain a professional specialty of higher education.
Students had the opportunity to learn about the achievements, directions and prospects of development, the conditions for organizing the educational process, and the international activities of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Bohdan Paska showed high school students a short video about the University and a presentation about all the specialties of the faculty. Potential applicants received useful information about the features of training and opportunities for further employment of students and graduates of the specialties of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations. During conversations with the University teachers, 11th grade students expressed their interest in further connecting their lives with the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations Iryna Sernyak conducted a training on circular economy (Girls Go Circular) from the public organization JA Ukraine for the students of two lyceums present. As part of this educational project, using game methods, the participants learned about the features of a closed-loop economy, about digital and entrepreneurial skills that are necessary for life in the modern world, about the basics of financial literacy, and had the opportunity to develop their own business projects. Because of the training, the participants received international certificates of completion of the training within the Girls Go Circular course.
The Head of the Department of International Economic Relations Liliya Mykhailyshyn provided transport for the faculty staff to the village of Tustan. The local leadership of the Dubivtsi territorial community and the Tustan Lyceum actively supported the career guidance event of the PNU.
