The final reporting scientific conference has begun

Today, March 24, 2025, the university traditionally summed up the results of scientific activity for 2024. A plenary session of the reporting scientific web conference of teachers, doctoral students and postgraduates of the university was held.

The acting rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Ihor Tsependa, with an introductory speech, opened the conference: “Dear colleagues! Today’s conference is an important and traditional event for our university. It allows us to sum up not only the year, but also previous years, to assess the level of science at our university. But most importantly, we see new trends that shape the future of science”

As part of the program of the plenary session, Nadiya Babiy, Doctor of Art History, Professor of the Department of Design and Art Theory, delivered a report. The topic of her speech was “The “Seeing Treasures Together” Project. Academic practices of demonstrating the possibilities of visual art through compensatory methods”.

This project was created so that people with complete or partial vision loss could experience museum exhibits. Thanks to the tactile art catalog and audio descriptions, they will have equal access to the museum experience and the opportunity to “touch” the artistic treasures. This will allow people with visual impairments to have better understand cultural heritage through different senses.

The conference participants actively discussed the presented reports, emphasizing their relevance and practical significance. During the discussions, key problems and prospects for their solution were outlined. Such interaction contributed to a deeper understanding of scientific challenges, as well as strengthening cooperation between researchers. The conference became another important step in the development of the university scientific community and opened up new opportunities for further research.
