Conducting of the II (regional) stage of the All-Ukrainian competition – defense of research works of students-members of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the conditions of the horrors of the Russian-Ukrainian war was held remotely in three stages. The structural division of points for the evaluation of competitive works was as follows: extramural evaluation of research works (maximum number of points – 20); poster defense (maximum number of points – 45); scientific conference (maximum number of points – 35). Absentee evaluation of research works was carried out by jury members for compliance by participants with the Requirements for writing, design and presentation of research works. The poster defense involved direct communication between the contestant and the members of the jury in the form of questions and answers, during which the jury checked his knowledge of the research topic based on the presented poster, including the discipline, independence of the research. The scientific conference provided for the presentation by the participant of only the most significant results of the research before the jury and other participants of the scientific section and allowed to assess the ability of the participant to choose the main one and present it, aimed at forming an understanding of how scientific knowledge is made public and disseminated.
The majority of scientific research works defended by students-competitors of institutions of general secondary education and institutions of higher education of the Ivano-Frankivsk region were noted for their relevance, diversity of topics, independence and scientific novelty. Thus, the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is a kind of classified treasury of knowledge, where students acquire the basics of scientific research knowledge, which will be useful in the future for writing scientific qualification papers in higher education while studying at universities.
