During the end of August – beginning of September 2024, Associate Professor of the Department of History of Ukraine and Methods of Teaching History Bohdan Paska conducted a professional examination of the curriculum of the special course “Ivano-Frankivsk: Pages of History” for students of grades 8–9 of secondary education institutions of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council of the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The authors of the special course program were teachers Dolynskyi V., Kovtun O., Kukurudz N., Makarova-Konyk O., Polovskyi V., Seredyuk T., Stasyuk A., Tsybulyak Yu., Chornenkyi R.
Paska’s expert opinion contains comments on the identified logical contradictions, factual errors, repetitions, grammatical and technical errors, insufficient disclosure of certain periods in the history of Ivano-Frankivsk, etc. As a result, it was proposed to send the curriculum for revision, taking into account the expert’s comments and recommendations.
