On October 17, 2024, Kvitoslava Yanovska, a 2nd-year master’s student in the specialty “Secondary Education (History)”, as part of her production (pedagogical) practice in secondary education institutions (head-methodologist – leading specialist of the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archaeology of the Carpathians Bohdan Paska), conducted a lesson on the subject of law for 9th grade students of Lyceum No. 11 of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council using modern educational technologies. The topic of the lesson was “Legal Responsibility.”
The lesson aimed to form in students an understanding of the main aspects of legal responsibility in a legal society. Attention was focused on the types of offenses and the consequences of illegal actions from a legal point of view. During the lesson, materials from the textbook were used and a presentation on the relevant topic was presented. The presentation contained a concise and meaningful presentation of the material for students to familiarize themselves with.
The main goal of the lesson was developmental. A quiz was also held to consolidate the knowledge gained in previous lessons. Students were able to improve their knowledge and apply it in practice when solving legal problems. Students were offered to work in groups with subsequent grades. Working in groups, students demonstrated previously mastered competencies. The “Brainstorming” method was used, which allowed for an objective assessment of the knowledge gained by students in practice.
