On December 3, 2024, as part of the “Stefanyk Open Day” project, an informative open class by Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations Serhiy Vasylchenko “Do You Have a Plan? We Are Creating a Successful Business Idea” was held at the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations for high school students of secondary education institutions in Ivano-Frankivsk. More than 30 participants attended the class. Bohdan Paska, a leading specialist at the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archaeology of the Carpathians, who is responsible for conducting career guidance work at the Faculty, organized the event.
Dean Ihor Hurak spoke to potential applicants of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations, who spoke about the prospects of study and employment after receiving diplomas in the specialties of the Faculty, and urged all applicants to make a conscious choice of their future life and career path. Head of the Department of History of Ukraine and Methods of Teaching History Ihor Raykivskyi told the participants of the event about the prospects of study in the specialties of the Faculty, focusing on the possibilities of obtaining the profession of a history teacher. Natalia Shepitak, a student of the specialty “Secondary Education (History)”, also spoke to potential applicants, who shared her own experience of studying at the Faculty, spoke about the opportunities for self-development and self-improvement that exist at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University during student life.
Associate Professor Serhiy Vasylchenko conducted an interesting interactive lesson for high school students using information and communication technologies, dedicated to the possibilities of creating and implementing one’s own business idea. The students were introduced to the features of creating a creative business idea, the potential opportunities for its promotion, as well as the risks that exist in the world of entrepreneurship and business. The teacher urged young people not to be passive, to take their fate into their own hands and create their own business while still in school. He also introduced the applicants to the possibilities of improving their knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of business while studying at the faculties of “International Economic Relations” and “International Business Management”. The guests of the event were active, asked many questions and left positive feedback about the lesson.
