On December 2–6, 2024, Olha Matkovska, a student of the SOI-21 group, specialty 014 Secondary Education (History) of the Bachelor’s degree program (full-time), together with five other students of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, participated in a week-long mobility program in the city of Lodz, Republic of Poland.
The week at the University of Lodz was extremely eventful and informative. The program began with an introductory session on Monday, December 2, where students learned about academic mobility opportunities and discussed the benefits of participating in such programs.
The next day, the project defense took place, where, together with Polish students, they compared the boomer and z-generations, which allowed them to better understand social and cultural changes in Europe. Wednesday was dedicated to the topic of inclusive education: they discussed the experience of universities in creating equal opportunities for all students. A special moment was a trip to the city of Toruń on Thursday, where students visited the Planetarium and took pictures near the monument to Nicolaus Copernicus, who was born in this Polish city.
Friday was the final day, when Olha Matkowska and other students presented our University to students and teachers of foreign higher education institutions not only from the Republic of Poland, but also from other countries in Europe and the world. Olha Matkowska summarizes: “It was a great opportunity to share the achievements of our higher education institution and make new friends. This trip left a lot of positive impressions and motivated me to participate in new international programs.”
