On April 2, 2025, teachers of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University held two career guidance meetings with students of grades 9–11 of the Starobohorodchansky Lyceum of the Starobohorodchansky Village Council and the Sadzhavsky Lyceum of the Bogorodchansky Village Council of the Ivano-Frankivsk District. Teachers Bohdan Paska (leading specialist of the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archaeology of the Carpathians, responsible for career guidance work at the faculty), Olena Berezovska-Chmil (associate professor of the Department of Political Science), Liliya Mykhailyshyn and Iryna Sernyak (respectively, head of the department and associate professor of the Department of International Economic Relations), as well as 2nd-year undergraduate student Andriana Ostash presented the educational programs “Secondary Education (History and Civics)”, “History and Archaeology”, “Political Science”, “Political Science. National Security”, “International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies”, “International Economic Relations”, “International Business Management”, which will give potential university applicants the opportunity to obtain a professional specialty of higher education.
Students had the opportunity to learn about the achievements, directions and prospects of development, the conditions for organizing the educational process, and the international activities of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Bohdan Paska showed high school students a short video about the university and a presentation about all the specialties of the faculty. Potential applicants received useful information about the features of training and further employment opportunities for students and graduates of the specialties of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations. During conversations with teachers, 11th grade students expressed interest in further connecting their lives with the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
During the meeting, Bohdan Paska on behalf of the acting Rector Igor Tsependa presented the Deputy Director of the Starobogorodchansky Lyceum Volodymyr Pryymak with the University’s Certificate of Honor for fruitful cooperation within the framework of the educational program 014 “Secondary Education (History)”, assistance in the formation of the personnel potential of future history teachers, conducting career guidance activities and a significant contribution to the development of education and science in Ukraine.
The Head of the Department of International Economic Relations Liliya Mykhailyshyn provided transport for the departure of faculty employees. The Assistant of the Department of History of Ukraine and Methods of Teaching History Bohdan Savchuk carried out communication with the leadership of the Sadzhavsky Lyceum. The local leadership of the Starobogorodchansky and Sadzhavsky Lyceums actively supported the career guidance event of the PNU. We express our great gratitude for organizing the meeting and active cooperation with the university to the director and deputy director of the Starobogorodchansky Lyceum, Taras Hrynyshyn and Volodymyr Pryymak, respectively, the director of the Sadzhavsky Lyceum, Iryna Kotsiubynska, and the history teacher of the same lyceum, Roman Savchuk!
