On April 1, 2025, a final meeting was held dedicated to the results of the production (pedagogical) practice in general secondary education institutions of students of the 4th year of the specialty 014 Secondary Education (History) of the OR “Bachelor” (full-time and part-time form of study). The participants of the event were the practice manager, teachers-methodologists and students who underwent practice in various educational institutions.
The practice manager, a leading specialist of the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archaeology of the Carpathians, Bohdan Paska, summed up the students’ work, emphasizing the need to complete the registration of all necessary documentation. The students’ responsible attitude to completing tasks and active participation in the educational process of general secondary education institutions was noted.
During the meeting, higher education applicants shared their impressions of undergoing production pedagogical practice in the ZZSO. In particular, a student of the SOI-42 group Natalia Yakubiv spoke about her experience of teaching at the Nadvirna Lyceum No. 4 of the Nadvirna City Council, emphasizing the importance of conducting national and patriotic education for secondary school students. A student of the same group, Bohdan Dyachuk, who already works as a history teacher at the Otyniy Lyceum of the Otyniy Village Council, spoke about the peculiarities of teaching practice in conditions of direct work at school, and pointed out the need to strengthen the study of factual material from social science subjects – the basics of law and civic education.
Methodological leaders, teachers of the Department of History of Ukraine and History Teaching Methods, also shared their observations. Thus, Associate Professor Galitska-Didukh T.V. noted the positive experience of students who underwent practice at the Catholic Lyceum of St. Basil the Great. Associate Professor Korolko A.Z. drew attention to the conditions for the completion of the production of pedagogical practice in the ZZSO by students at the place of future employment.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the practice answered individual questions of students and methodologists, providing additional explanations regarding organizational aspects. It was announced that the test based on the results of the practice will take place next week. The teachers of the department held a career guidance conversation with the 4th year bachelors regarding the need for them to continue their studies in the master’s degree program in the specialty “Secondary Education (History and Civic Education)”.
