On April 2, a charity auction was held in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the exhibition hall of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. The event brought together many caring people who wanted to help our defenders. The organizers are the Educational and Scientific Institute of Arts under the patronage of Director Volodymyr Fedorak. The host of the event is Taras Vasylyuk, senior lecturer at the Department of Performing Arts and Choreography.
“It is already a good tradition of our university to unite our team and the community united around the PNU for the sake of supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We actively cooperate with various organizations, charitable foundations and directly with military units. Today, we are accumulating funds for the Save Ukraine Now initiative, which has been a reliable partner of the university for many years and supports military units formed in our region. The works presented at this event are unique, original works that reflect the creative potential of art schools and the Institute of Arts of our university. They are not only a manifestation of the talent of our students, but also a real contribution to helping our defenders. I am convinced that today we will be able to collect a significant amount, which will become another brick in the support of our heroic warriors. I sincerely thank everyone who joined this important initiative! ”- addressed the audience with a welcoming speech by the acting rector of PNU Ihor Tsependa.
The auction presented 36 unique works of fine, decorative, and applied art created by students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Arts of PNU. The works impressed the guests with their skill, depth of content and patriotic theme.
Thanks to the active participation of benefactors and patrons, it was possible to collect 330,100 hryvnias, which will be transferred to the Save Ukraine Now (SUN) Coordination Center for the purchase of necessary equipment and supplies for the 10th separate mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Taras Herula, a representative of the Save Ukraine Now (SUN) Coordination Center, noted: “PNU is a permanent partner of SUN. The university staff joined us with the initiative of recalculating one-day’s earnings, and university teachers and students have repeatedly organized charitable events in favor of our defenders. Today we want to thank the organizers of the auction for their initiative, and the patrons for their generous bets. For our part, we promise to double the amount of funds raised and report on purchases for the “edelweiss”.” The organizers of the event express their sincere gratitude to all participants, guests, and artists who joined the auction.
