Press conference “STEFANYK UP: OVERLOADING AT HEIGHT 2025”

On April 25, a press conference was held at the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, dedicated to the strategic renewal of the university, the formation of a new identity and the strengthening of the communication platform.

The following key topics were discussed during the event:

the new identity of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University;

the mission of the university, which goes beyond the borders of the Carpathian region;

recognition of students as equal partners in the development of the university;

the role of communication in building recognition both in Ukraine and abroad.

During his speech at the press conference, Acting Rector Ihor Tsependa outlined the strategic directions of the university’s transformation. According to him, the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University today positions itself as a leader of a new level: “Carpathian University is more than a regional institution. It is the center of power of the entire Carpathian macro region. We are transforming from a classical to a research university.”

He also emphasized the university’s European integration course: “Through the Carpathians to the EU is not just a metaphor, but also a real strategy. We are integrating into the European educational and scientific space through partnerships, joint programs, and a single vision.” Ihor Tsependa paid special attention to the role of students: “Students are our partners in management. Their voice is included in the development of strategies, initiatives, and even the brand. This is a new level of participation of academic youth in the life of the university.” Olga Kovaliv, the author of the new logo of the Carpathian University, gave a short presentation in which she talked about the idea of creating the logo. According to her, the visual sign combines images of the peaks of the Carpathians, the observatory on Pip Ivan, national ornament, and modern minimalism. Such symbolism conveys the spirit of the university, its geographical and cultural uniqueness. She also noted the important contribution of other participants in the competition, in particular Alina Kornienko, whose creative idea became the basis for the second key element of the brand book.

Member of the Supervisory Board Yana Stadilna presented the university’s symbols, in particular the new brand book: “This brand book is only the first, but very important step towards implementing a modern branding strategy and wide recognition of Carpathian University. We are forming not just a visual style, but also the power of communications that will allow us to sound worthy in Ukraine and beyond. From now on, every word, every banner, every digital product will speak the single language of our brand.”
