On the shield, Yaroslav Komar, a graduate of the Department of Performing Arts and Choreography of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University of Arts (class of 2019), returns to his native village of Golyn, in Kalushchyna.
The brave warrior died on April 26, 2025, while performing a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Yaroslav voluntarily joined the ranks of the defenders of Ukraine, underwent military training abroad, and held the position of chief sergeant of a mechanized platoon of a mechanized battalion. He died defending the Motherland – with honor and dignity, like a true Hero.
We bow our heads to the feat of our graduate. We express sincere words of condolences to Yaroslav’s family, loved ones, friends, and brothers-in-arms.
