On May 14, on the University Day, another bright and interesting event took place – the STEFANYK OPEN scientific picnic, which brought together students, teachers, schoolchildren, city residents and guests of Ivano-Frankivsk.
It began with a solemn greeting from the acting rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian (Carpathian) National University, Ihor Tsependa. In his speech, he emphasized that such initiatives are a true embodiment of the spirit of a modern university – open, creative and deeply motivated for further development.
Ihor Tsependa emphasized that the scientific picnic is not just a format for popularizing science, but an example of how the university forms a dialogue between the academic community and the community. He noted the active participation of students and teachers, thanked all faculties for their initiative and wished that such events would become a good tradition of the university.
This year, all faculties and academic departments of the university participated in organizing the picnic, and each of them presented its activities in an accessible and exciting form: from interactive experiments and mini-lectures to art workshops, creative zones and demonstrations of modern technologies.
The STEFANYK OPEN scientific picnic transformed the square in front of the university into a real space of academic freedom, where knowledge was transferred easily and inspiredly, and the atmosphere promoted open dialogue between generations.
University Day 2025 once again proved: a modern university is not only a place of study, but also a space for ideas, interaction and inspiration.
