The collection of abstracts of the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference “Historical and local history activities in educational institutions under the conditions of the New Ukrainian School” (Ivano-Frankivsk, May 18, 2023; more details: http://surl.li/lmfyn), prepared by teachers of the Department of History of Ukraine and Methods of Teaching History and employees of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Center for Tourism and Local History of Students, has been published. The pages of the collection include an educational and methodological article by a leading specialist of the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archaeology of the Carpathians, Bohdan Paska.
The collection considers current issues of the conceptual foundations of the New Ukrainian School in studying the history of the native land in educational institutions, the formation of the competencies of education seekers through the prism of historical and local history research, determining the place and role of the teacher and the group leader in the educational environment of the National Ukrainian School, the organization and conduct of scientific research, search and local history activities in educational institutions, the characteristics of extracurricular and extracurricular local history group work as an effective means of national and patriotic education of schoolchildren and student youth, the functioning of the museum of the educational institution as a platform for local history research in the context of the New Ukrainian School.
