Participation in an educational and informational seminar for students of the Faculty of Pedagogy

In accordance with the order of the rector, on February 28, 2024, an educational and informational seminar of agitation and propaganda direction was held in the online format for students of the 3rd year of the pedagogical faculty on the general topic “Ukrainian statehood in the face of military aggression of the Russian Federation”. The head of the educational and production laboratory of educational and psychological-pedagogical work, PhD, Assoc. Lilia Mykolayivna Romankova, moderated the meeting.

The invited participant of the seminar was the leading specialist of the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archeology of the Carpathians Bohdan Paska, who gave a speech on the topic “Teachers and students of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in the struggle for independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine”. During the performance of B.V. Paska focused on different generations of participants of the Ukrainian national liberation movement among the teachers and students of the University – from the representatives of the movement of resistance to the Soviet regime in the 1950s and 1960s to the modern soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who defend our country from Russian aggression.

The participants of the seminar received comprehensive information about the circle of teachers of the Ivano-Frankivsk Pedagogical Institute in the mid-1960s, which was headed by historians Valentyn Moroz and Petro Arsenych. Information was provided about students and graduates of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations who died during the defense of the territorial integrity of our homeland in 2022-2023 in the eastern and southern regions. The processes of honoring the memory of fallen Heroes, which take place at the level of the Faculty, were also analyzed. The report of B.V. Paska aroused considerable interest and approval among the audience of the seminar.
