On April 6, 2023, a report meeting of the subsection of the history of Ukraine and methods of teaching history of the scientific conference of students of the University was held. According to the program of the reporting scientific conference of students of the University, more than 40 reports were announced. However, 24 students of the II-IV courses of the specialty 014 Secondary Education (History) of the “Bachelor” OR and the I year of the specialty 014 Secondary Education (History) of the OR “Master” (full-time and part-time study) delivered their reports. Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of History of Ukraine and History Teaching Methods Andriy Korolko was the head of the subsection of the reporting scientific conference of students, and Lilia Basista, a third-year student of the specialty 014 Secondary Education (History) of the “Bachelor” OR, was the secretary. Candidate of historical sciences, leading specialist of the Institute of History, Ethnology and Archeology of the Carpathians Bohdan Paska helped to provide technical support of the mixed offline-online form of the reporting session of the subsection of the history of Ukraine and the methodology of teaching the history of the scientific conference.
In the introductory speech, the head of the subsection, Candidate of Historical Sciences, associate professor of the Department of History of Ukraine and methods of teaching history Andriy Korolko wished the participants of the student scientific forum fruitful work, skillful presentation of speeches, in their reports to choose the main ones and present the results of the work aimed at forming an understanding of the researched problem.
In fact, all participants of the subsection voiced their research results, involving in their speeches prepared high-quality visualized presentations. In the course of their reports, young researchers clearly expressed their opinions, critically interpreted the used sources and correctly used research methods, emphasized the originality and provenance of their judgments, systematically and fully disclosed the results of their work, were fluent in the studied material, comprehensively answered the questions of fellow students and teachers, who were present at the meeting.
During the five-hour student scientific forum, fruitful discussions continued, the main arguments of which became the basis for the development of joint decisions of the speakers of the subsection of the history of Ukraine and the methodology of teaching history. At the end of the meeting of the subsection of the history of Ukraine and methods of teaching history through a specially prepared electronic Google-form by means of a secret vote of the students – participants of the scientific conference – three students (six in total) were determined, who were nominated for awarding diplomas and publishing their articles in the collection of student scientific works “Euryka-XXIII”.
Thus, the report scientific conference of students of the subsection of the history of Ukraine and methods of teaching history is a kind of classified treasury of knowledge, where young people acquire the basics of scientific research knowledge, which will be useful for approbation and writing scientific qualification papers for obtaining the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) educational levels of a higher education institution.
