On Thursday, May 18, 2023, the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Historical and Local Studies Activities in Educational Institutions in the Conditions of the New Ukrainian School” (online) will be held at the Project and Educational Center “Agents of Change” of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

The organizers of the conference are the Department of History of Ukraine and Methods of Teaching History in cooperation with the Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Center of Tourism and Local History for Students, the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Organization of the National Union of Local History of Ukraine and the Scientific Research Institute history of the church of the Ivano-Frankivsk Academy of Ivan Zolotoustyi.
Scientists, lecturers, teachers, and heads of circles of institutions of general secondary and extracurricular education, museum workers, students and postgraduate students will attend the work of the scientific conference. The conference aims to: expand knowledge about historical local studies as a comprehensive study of the history of the region and social movement, about the methodology of historical and local studies as one of its important forms in educational institutions; organize research about the native region and their source base, methods of use, forms of organization of local history activities, application of local history knowledge in the educational process in the conditions of the New Ukrainian School; to assimilate and deepen the theoretical and practical knowledge, abilities and skills of teachers, students and pupils in the organization of historical and local history, search, museum, monument preservation activities in educational institutions in the conditions of the National Academy of Sciences; to form general, special, professional competences necessary for effective solving of standard and non-standard complex tasks in professional pedagogical activities.
