On September 28, 2023, an extended session of the educational and methodical seminar was held with curators of the 1st-3rd courses, deputies for educational work of all structural units of the university and postgraduate students of the university. The moderators were the head of the educational and production laboratory of educational, psychological, and pedagogical work, k. ps. of Science, Assoc. Liliya Mykolaivna Romankova and the head of the seminar, methodologist of the highest category, candidate of medical sciences, Assoc. Zoya Volodymyrivna Yurchenko. The event was held in an online format on the topic “Laboratory interaction with educational units: starting positions for the 2023/2024 academic year.”
During the seminar, Liliya Romankova presented for consideration a report on the topic “Comprehensive plan of educational and psychological-pedagogical work for the 2023/2024 academic year as a basis for effective cooperation of the laboratory and educational units under martial law conditions”, as well as a program on the organization of prevention and countermeasures against violence (including bullying) in the educational community of the university for 2023/2024. In turn, Zoya Yurchenko presented the project of the Comprehensive Targeted Program of National Patriotic Education in the educational activities of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University for the 2023/2024 academic year.
The invited participant of the seminar was the leading specialist of the Educational and Scientific Institute of History, Ethnology and Archeology of the Carpathians, Bohdan Paska, who gave a speech on the topic “Teachers and students of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in the struggle for independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine “. During his speech, B. Paska focused attention on the participants on the Ukrainian national liberation movement among the teachers and students of the University – from the representatives of the movement against the Soviet regime in the 1950s and 1960s to the modern soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who defend our state from the Russian aggression.
The participants of the seminar received comprehensive information about the circle of teachers of the Ivano-Frankivsk Pedagogical Institute in the mid-1960s, which was headed by historians Valentyn Moroz and Petro Arsenych. Information was provided about students and graduates of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations who died during the defense of the territorial integrity of our homeland in 2022-2023 in the eastern and southern regions. The processes of honoring the memory of fallen Heroes, which take place at the level of the Faculty, were also analyzed.
B. Paska’s report aroused considerable interest and approval among the seminar audience. At the end of the seminar, curators of academic groups and deputies of educational work of structural units were recommended to strengthen the national-patriotic education of student youth by actively involving them in commemorating the fighters for the independence of Ukraine.
