During his speech, B. Paska focused attention on the participants on the Ukrainian national liberation movement among the teachers and students of the University – from the representatives of the movement against the Soviet regime in the 1950s and 1960s to the modern soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who defend our state from the Russian aggression.

The participants of the seminar received comprehensive information about the circle of teachers of the Ivano-Frankivsk Pedagogical Institute in the mid-1960s, which was headed by historians Valentyn Moroz and Petro Arsenych. Information was provided about students and graduates of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations who died during the defense of the territorial integrity of our homeland in 2022-2023 in the eastern and southern regions. The processes of honoring the memory of fallen Heroes, which take place at the level of the Faculty, were also analyzed.

At the end of the seminar, curators of academic groups and deputies of educational work of structural units were recommended to strengthen the national-patriotic education of student youth by actively involving them in commemorating the fighters for the independence of Ukraine.
