On October 31, 2023, the leading specialist of the Educational and Scientific Institute of History, Ethnology and Archeology of the Carpathians Bohdan Paska organized a series of educational excursions to the Ivan Franko Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Universal Scientific Library for students of the Physics and Engineering Faculty of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. The library was visited by students of secondary education (Physics and Mathematics), “Materials Science”, “Mathematics” and “Applied Mathematics” OR “Bachelor”.
Hanna Paska and Halyna Selyankina, specialists of the department of economic and industrial literature, conducted the tour for the students. Future specialists were acquainted with the rules of registration to the library, its website, library services, features of working with the electronic catalog, as well as the book fund, periodicals, professional and business literature. The students watched the current video material about the famous Ukrainian aircraft AN-225 Mriya, which was destroyed at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. The second video story was dedicated to the honored figure of science and technology of Ukraine, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Honorary Professor of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Dmytro Mykhailovych Freik.
A useful continuation of the meeting for those present was a lecture on the history of Ukraine by their teacher Bohdan Valeriyovych Paska. He emphasized the importance of the library for their education and self-development. University students expressed their desire to become permanent readers of the library and visitors to the library’s cultural and artistic events.
