Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University entered the TOP-10 institutions of higher education of Ukraine for the second time according to the data indicators of the 2023 Scopus scientometrics database. According to Scopus analytical data, the Hirsch index of Precarpathian University reached 59, and last year it was 54!
The results of the rating are based on the citation rates of scientific articles published by educational institutions or their specialists. The rating was compiled based on the results of scientometrics monitoring of subjects of scientific and publishing activity of Ukraine according to the indicators of the SciVerse Scopus database in April 2023.
The Scopus database constantly indexes more than 20,000 scientific publications in technical, medical and humanitarian sciences. This database also includes publications of scientific journals, materials of conferences and book publications.
In the rating table, Ukrainian universities are ranked according to the Hirsch index – a quantitative indicator based on the number of scientific publications and the number of their citations. Currently, scientists from Precarpathian University have published 1,646 articles in publications included in the international scientometrics database Scopus. The total number of citations is 19,474.
In 2022, 1,404 articles were published in publications, and the total number of citations was 15,648.
